My name is Mónica Marcela Rodríguez Durán, I was born in Bogotá, Colombia.
I arrived in France in 2009 and since then my path has been drawn in the middle of art and work with children and adolescents.
In 2013 I obtained my fine arts diploma from the Grenoble-Valence School of Fine Arts. During these years of study, the profession of art therapist knocked on my door thanks to a personal project that questioned the effect of art on people with eating disorders. This is how the idea of continuing the exploration and the link that exists between art, the psycho-affective, and emotional development of the human being through art therapy became evident.
After spending a short time in Colombia at the end of my art studies, I returned to France in 2014 to begin my master’s degree at the Sorbonne University Paris-Descartes. I had the fortune to receive a quality theoretical and practical education that improved my knowledge in the psychological and psycho-pathological field to solidify. In 2017 I finished this training with an emphasis on the professional and research field.
Since then, I have worked with various populations, thus building my way of conceiving the profession and refining my theoretical and practical skills to adapt my offer of services to the people with whom I had the fortune to work.
I am currently training in Montessori pedagogy.
